I'd like to come out and race with you guys, but would need to put together a Viper and before I do I'd like to make sure you guys are still planning to have a few races this summer... so I'm hoping you guys are still planning to race?

Sweet, I should be able to make those dates.  Gotta get a Viper ordered...  Are there any "club" rules different then normal AMA 424 that I should know about?

"club rules"

-Any unmodified sport 40 under $100 retail - does not have to be TT40

-foam or rubber wheels only - no pizza cutters - keeps your plane from flipping over when the lake bed is soft.

- club provides 15% fuel - you provide your own APC 9x6

- after landing you must be able to taxi your plane back to the pits

So I'm assuming that the taxi back part is an inside joke?  Or do we have to have to have a throttle that works down at low rpm?  Also, are you guys planning any practice sessions before the race?  I've never flown a long course .

Taxi back is an inside joke - but in my opinion you should have an engine that will idle - safer - gives you a chance to go around if needed.

I don't know of any practice dates - Do those in charge have any planned?

I haven't heard of any practice dates either but I know in the past the Thursday evening before the race has been used for practice.  I know I could use some more time trimming and balancing my plan rather than just one flight before the race like this past Saturday in Logan!

Also, a big thanks to the Bridgerland RC Club and Dave Stuart for hosting the first race of the season.  They did a fabulous job organizing and running the event!
